CA Prop 65 Warning

Proposition 65, officially the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.

We care about our customers' safety. Many of the products listed on our website require a California Prop 65 warning. Some products contain chemicals such as lead and nickel compounds and acrylic dust. Additionally, some products are used on wood which creates wood dust. Both Wood dust and these other chemicals are substances known to the State of California to cause cancer. California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels. Because our web site lists multiple items per page, we are providing ample warning by providing the ability to obtain clear and reasonable Prop 65 warnings prior to completion of your purchase decision. We are also updating our products packaging to be clearly labeled with the correct warnings if needed per Prop65 guidelines. For more information www.p65warnings.ca.gov or call 916-445-6900.
